Pack With Me to the Philippines
The year is finally coming to end and I'm taking off to visit my parents homeland. So if you've got a trip planned this holiday season especially if it's somewhere sunny like the Philippines, make sure you keep reading. (I could have just reminded you of a must have item that you forgot to add in your travel bag. Or you may have even picked up on something that I have forgotten. (P.S I'm doing quite a lot of shopping over there so I've tried to bring as little as possible - in my eyes at least.)
shoes, hats and undergarments
In my suitcase I've got 2 pairs of shoes. My trusty white low cut converse sneakers for walking around everywhere in and my Envy Camel Sandals from Betts I'm a sucker for anything that can be done with one zip and these are quick and easy and fit comfortably on my feet. (My sister is a genius too, she recently purchased some clothes for Zaful and each were packaged in these ziplock bags that are big enough to store my shoes into so your clean clothes don't get all dirty.) I got this straw bowed hat from dotti and the brim is just wide enough to cover the sun from my eyes but also not too big for my head. All my undergarments including bras and undies I've fit into a large ziplock bag, and I've managed to fit a weeks worth of it in there too.
I've packed one of everything. So on the left I've got 1 black long band tee and below is a teal coloured loose tee. On the right I've brought a polkadot pair of short and a pair of festive long pyjama pants. The Philippines always have cute sleepwear that I'm excited to add soooo many cute things to my collection.
Again, brought 1 of everything. A cropped rose frilled tee from Sportsgirl (similar), a pair of pink shorts from Kmart, a peach and red floral coloured dress from Dotti. Which will be great for the beach. Then a cropped white lace ruffle top from dotti and of course a blue stripped long sleeve button down (similar), which I think will be great to put on when I'm at the beach.
I've owned this polkadot swimsuit from target for such a long time now and it is still going strong so it is definitely coming with me and I've also brought some bright purple floral shorts.
I've always been known as the allergen kid so I'm full stocked when it comes to any possible illness outcome.
Gotta have the essentials like my Aveeno Cleanser which is great for daily use and the body shop cream cleanser which is great for taking off waterproof makeup. Razors, My holy grail Kiehls Eye Treatment with Avocado, Grease Lightning Spot Treatment for those pesky pimples. An everyday screen from Mecca which is SPF50+ and of course face moisturisers. The Mecca Cosmetica Plumping Balm in the morning (which also doubles as a face mask- when layered thick enough). As well as the Mario Badescu Buttermilk Moisturiser which is thicker for nights.
A body lotion, like that of Aveeno and this Stress Relief one smells AMAZING and is soooo calming. Sunscreen, and in particular I like using a kids or either sports version as I know it will last longer during the day. Aerogard of course, for those pesky mosquitos and aloe vera gel for sunburns and pains. (Quick tip, keep this in the fridge for an extra cooling effect. )
I curl my hair quite regularly with a straightener so I have to bring my straightener and it is a MUST for me! Also I'm bringing 3 hair care products, the Percy & Reed The Perfect Blow Dry Makeover Spray (at sephora) which give my hair some oomph but also doubles as heat protectant. L'oreal Paris Elvive Extraordinary Clay Dry Shampoo is a must for me to maintain my hair, especially when I'm feeling low maintenance as well as a great hairspray such as the John Frieda Frizz Ease Hairspray.
I bought the body shop deodorant on a whim I couldn't buy the schmidt deodorant online anyways. (cries) But since then I've loved using this and it lasts such as long time too. Now to the fun bits. I'm still deciding between the the 2 face palettes. Let me know in the comments which one you think I should bring. I've brought my smashbox face primer to keep my makeup in check because it will get very hot indeed, my trusty kmart eyelash curler, my manicure leopard print tweezer (similar) to clean up my brows, Maybelline Brow Precise in Deep Brown because it also comes with a spoolie on the other end and to go along with that is the NARS sharpener. NARS Eyeshadow Primer is also a must for my everyday oily eyelids, the Rimmel Brow This Way gel in clear. (which I love the reformulation of, but I'm not a fan of the covered packaging because I can no longer see how much product I have left - cries) My Rimmel Wonder Wing*, for when I'm feeling adventurous and want to rock a winged eye look. I've only brought 1 foundation and concealer because I don't like wearing a lot of foundation but brought something just in case and I do want to keep things natural on holidays. But I've also brought along the Rimmel Insta Fix and Matte* to set everything in place. I've also brought 7 lippies. A combination of nudes, a red and lipbalms, oh and a bright purple lip (cause sometimes you just gotta be adventurous)
If you know me, you know how big my makeup brush collection is so the fact that I have managed to cut down to 7 makeup brushes is a miracle! I've got the Nude by Nature Finishing Brush (for something big an puffy), simpleglamgirls face brush*, E.L.F. Cosmetics Small Tapered Brush (for contouring) Zoeva Blush Brush (for blush), E.L.F. Blush Brush (for Highlighting) and 2 eye brushes from Zoeva, the 227 Luxe Soft Defining (for blending) and the 231 Luxe Petit Crease (for applying to the inner corners) Of course my nude beauty blender has to come along for it's the only thing that doesn't crease the makeup under my eyes. A brush spray from sephora, for on the go cleans, my trusty Daiso cleaner for deeper cleans and my little brush egg from ebay to help get all the gunk out.
Let me know in the comments, have I forgotten anything? What are your travel essentials this summer? Are you going anywhere over the holidays?
