Read about what music I've currently been loving and also watch me perform some of my favourite songs live!
Bastille 2019 live at the Big Top, Sydney. Check out my post about the show, if you didn’t get the chance to see them live.
Find out what it’s like dancing in the rain with Taylor Swift and what to expect on her Reputation Stadium Tour*
As the cold winter season final approaches, it’s only fitting to acknowledge these hits I’ve been loving.
In this monthly music we are talking about being serenaded by the Billie Eilish. So grab a cup of tea and relax
From upbeat and making you want to get up and dance, to gut wrenchingly sad with emotion, check out my latest monthly music! Who knows? You might even discover your next fave song!
Having a lot more time on my hands, I've recently been loving more up beat, wake me up in the morning music and the Glades have been my recent go to for exactly that! So relax to this playlist I've created of my recent faves, while you read the break down of these amazing songs.
What better way to end the year than with a cover. I know I said that I would make more covers this year but unfortunately, life took over. That happens, annoyingly. (Anyways, enjoy this cover that I managed to whip up.)
If you're a fan of Bastille's first album then you'll fall in love with this playlist that I've compiled of one of my latest pop indie UK obsessions, Amber Run.
I'm not a huge fan of change. I think it's safe to say that most people aren't. So when your fave artists decides to change up the style that you love. You can either move on an find another artist or put up with it and give it a listen.
I always love writing about music, so it's another month of checking out what I've been loving, and a playlist to go along with it!
If you've been listening to my playlists for a while now, you will know that every song that I've picked for each playlist I aim to make flow from one song to the next. To either help tell a story or to help illicit an emotion. This month's faves are no exception to that rule.
Upon hearing of HAIM a couple of years back I never understood why they were all the rage. But my musical taste has been convinced. I mean a group of sisters with pretty harmonies, cool guitar riffs and drums beats that make you want to join along, I mean what's not to love?
Is it just me or has this been the month about weddings. I feel like everywhere I turn everyone is either getting married, engaged or posting throwback wedding pics. Yet here I hame celebrating the single life and being serenaded to wedding style music by Tim Halperin this month.
So it's no secret that the month of May has pretty much been Paramore month. I've always been a huge Paramore fan, for quite the longest time and I do have to say that this album is the most different to that of any of their albums to date. While I am still a HUGE fan of their punk rock anthems I'm enjoying their new sound.
It's been a while since I've discovered an acoustic musician. So Hudson Taylor could not have come at such a great time!
With no music cover this month, I instead wanted to write about an EP Launch that I attended last night. I think like many upcoming bands today it is too hard to categorise them into one specific genre, there are too many branches and combinations of genres, which is AMAZING if you think about it! It has opened up a whole new world of endless experimental combinations of music.
Sometimes songs help us embrace our awkwardness especially in times of need when we don't fit in. So check out my latest monthly music cover
Now I am very very late to the hype of Troye Sivan's debut album. But alas I have finally taken the time to truly appreciate his music and I love the lyrics and meaning behind his songs.
I love discovering upcoming local talents, so I was very lucky that my university has the luxury of having various artists in residences. During this year I have discovered Dustin Tebbutt, an all-round amazing vocalists, musician, producer and many more.
This monthly has been extremely hard in the online digital community. I found I haven't been listening to anything else on repeat for the last couple of weeks other than Christina Grimmie. So this week I've posted a playlist of my favourite covers and originals by Christina herself.
I'm sure many of you have already heard of what has happened to musical artist Christina Grimmie. So I won't delve into it any more. However, this week I wanted to dedicate this week's post to her, an amazing singer/ songwriter who definitely inspired me, in my early days of exploring the musical scene on Youtube.
Anyone who knows me, knows that Gabrielle Aplin is my favourite musical artist. I've also had the pleasure of meeting her and watching the intimate shows on more than one occasion. ***insert fangirl moment*** Her newest album has been on repeat over the last month, and I really can't wait to see her live show, come to Australia.
This week's music post is such a huge throwback for me. Before I started this blog I was a music covering enthusiast on youtube but those videos are now long gone. Being inspired by this musical artist was one of the reasons I started to post my music on the youtube platform to begin with. So when I heard one of her songs while shopping I delved into my music library to re-listen to her stuff.
If you can't find a good playlist for your broken heart, Especially from the words of a male THIS is what you listen to!
I'm pretty lucky to have a close circle to amazingly talented friends. Jeffrey Chan is one of those crazy talented people who just played a sold out show the other week that I was lucky enough attend, was a pretty whirlwind experience.
As soon as went into iso, events were cancelled, concerts were postponed and now, with a strong hit to the music and events industry, the best thing we can all do is support artists. Listen alongside the playlist and find out what each song means to me and take up the 30-day song challenge for yourself.
